As medical recruiters, we’re privileged to work with incredible doctors every day. We see the dedication, compassion and commitment they bring to caring for others.
But we also know that medicine is demanding. Long hours, difficult decisions and caring for patients often mean that doctors put their own wellbeing last.
This July, in support of Samaritans Awareness Day (24/7), we’re inviting our healthcare community, clients, candidates and colleagues to join us in our 1Medical Wellbeing Challenge.
The idea is simple: dedicate just 7 minutes each day to your wellbeing. Not because it’s another task to tick off your list, but because looking after yourself is just as important as looking after others.
In the run up to Samaritans Awareness Day, we’ll be sharing simple, practical ways to build positive wellbeing habits using the 5 Ways to Wellbeing:
Throughout the month, one of our team will share their own take on each of the themes, along with practical ideas and research on why these small habits matter, especially for those working in healthcare.
Alongside the challenge, we’re also proud to be fundraising for Samaritans, whose volunteers provide emotional support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, helping people through some of life’s most difficult moments. If you’d like to support their incredible work, we’d be so grateful if you could donate via our fundraising page.
Here’s to 7 minutes a day. One small action. A healthier habit that we hope lasts long beyond July.
Will you join us?
