Last updated: 21 July 2026. This page reflects 1Medical’s internal Equal Opportunities & Equality Policy (POL 01, approved 06/05/2026, reviewed annually).
1Medical is committed to promoting equality, diversity, inclusion, dignity, and fairness across all areas of its business activities. We are committed to ensuring that all individuals are treated with respect and provided with equal opportunities regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, marital status, political opinion, family status, or any other protected characteristic. 1Medical adopts a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, harassment, bullying, victimisation, or unfair treatment in any form.
This policy applies to our employees, contractors, locums, agency workers, consultants, temporary workers, suppliers, and any individual acting on our behalf, across all operational activities including recruitment, selection, placement, training, promotion, client engagement, performance management, and workplace conduct.
1Medical will promote equal opportunities in recruitment and employment; treat all individuals fairly, consistently, and with dignity; make decisions based on merit, qualifications, competence, and business requirements; provide equal access to opportunities and development; promote inclusive and respectful working environments; and take appropriate action where discrimination or harassment occurs, whether direct, indirect, intentional, unintentional, systemic, or arising through victimisation or harassment.
1Medical will not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, nationality or ethnic origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, political opinion, family status, trade union membership, or any other protected status under applicable legislation. This includes protection from discrimination, harassment, bullying, victimisation, and unfair treatment.
We are committed to fair and transparent recruitment and selection processes. Recruitment decisions are based on skills, qualifications, experience, competence, and suitability for the role. We promote equal access to employment opportunities, use fair and objective recruitment practices, avoid discriminatory advertising or selection criteria, consider reasonable adjustments where appropriate, and maintain recruitment records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
1Medical is committed to supporting accessibility and inclusion for individuals with disabilities or health conditions. Reasonable adjustments may include workplace adaptations, flexible working arrangements, additional support during recruitment processes, accessible communication methods, or other accommodations appropriate to individual needs. Requests for reasonable adjustments are considered fairly and confidentially.
1Medical prohibits bullying, harassment, victimisation, or inappropriate behaviour in any form, including offensive comments or conduct, intimidation or exclusion, discriminatory language or behaviour, unwanted physical, verbal, or online conduct, or retaliation against individuals who raise concerns. Concerns are investigated promptly and appropriately.
Any individual who experiences or witnesses discrimination, harassment, bullying, or unfair treatment is encouraged to report concerns to management. We treat concerns seriously and confidentially, investigate them fairly and appropriately, take corrective action where necessary, and protect individuals from victimisation for raising genuine concerns.
